About

2018+group.jpg

Established in 1992, the Morgan Hill Wind Symphony (MHWS) community band prides itself on performing a varied mix of music; from classical, big band, swing and show tunes, to the occasional march! The MHWS seeks to enhance the level of musical art in the South Bay community, to foster the importance of music in one's life through performance, to provide an opportunity for community involvement both as a group and as individuals, and finally, to provide the opportunity for musicians to practice and perform in a relaxed, supportive environment.

MHWS first started with the premise of "get your instrument out of storage and start playing again!" MHWS is comprised of musicians of a wide age group from high school students to career professionals. Some musicians are in the profession of music, but the majority of the group is comprised of members who enjoy music as a hobby.

You can bring your instrument and sit in with us. An audition is not required to join the wind symphony. We typically perform three concerts annually: April, August, December. There is a brief recess after our annual December concert until after the New Year.
